Bad light forces curtailed second session at SCG

"Day 2 of the third and last Test in Sydney needed to stop early on the grounds that the light outside was getting too dim. Australia kept playing, but they were going pretty slowly, only scoring 38 runs in about an hour and fifteen minutes. Usman Khawaja, who was doing well, got out.

The weather turned cloudy and dark after lunch, making it hard to see. Labuschagne and Khawaja were trying to build up the score for Australia. Labuschagne helped the team reach 100 runs.

Right before the players were going to have a break, there was a situation where Pakistan thought Khawaja was out, but the umpire said no. After looking at the video, it was clear that Khawaja had touched the ball and he was indeed out. Khawaja was very close to scoring 50 runs but missed by just three.

Steve Smith started playing well with a good shot, but then the light got even worse, and the umpires only allowed the spin bowlers to play, not the fast ones. Pakistan wanted to keep using fast bowlers, so they had to stop the game early for tea. Australia still needs to catch up a lot, trailing by 197 runs. The weather for later didn't look too good either.

Score Summary: Australia has scored 116 runs for the loss of 2 wickets (Usman Khawaja scored 47, Marnus Labuschagne is at 23*; Aamer Jamal took 1 wicket for 26 runs). They are behind Pakistan by 197 runs."
